Masjid Wazir Khan
Lahore has lots of
historical places but Masjid Wazir Khan one of the best which I like most. Its
fresco art and architecture is marvelous. There is no any other example like
this place in Lahore. Masjid Wazir Khan was built in seven years, starting
around 1634–1635 AD, during the reign of the Mughal Emperor Shah Jehan. It was
built by Hakim Shaikh Ilm-ud-din Ansari, a native of Chiniot, who rose to be
the court physician to Shah Jahan and a governor of Lahore. The mosque is
inside the Inner City and is easiest accessed from Delhi Gate. The mosque
contains some of the finest examples of Qashani tile work from the Mughal period.

The Battle of Chillianwala
The Battle of
Chillianwala was fought in January 1849 during the Second Anglo-Sikh War in the
Chillianwala region of Punjab (Mandi Bahauddin), now part of modern-day
Pakistan. The battle was one of the bloodiest fought by the British East India
Company. Both armies held their positions at the end of the battle and both
sides claimed victory. The battle was a strategic check to immediate British
ambitions in India and a shock to British military prestige.
